Engineer/Scientist in Particle Chemistry

— San Francisco Bay Area

Responsibilities:

  • Planning, executing and documenting research experiments and presenting data
  • Synthesizing and surface modification of magnetic  nanoparticles, microspheres or colloids 
  • Capable of particle size characterization, including DLS, Zeta-potential, and various microscopic techniques
  • Applying magnetic nanoparticle/microparticle applications in Biotech
  • Preparing various technical documents and write experimental reports.

Requirements:
1. B.S. or higher in Chemistry, Material Sciences or related field.
2. Must have experience with scale-up and manufacturing of magnetic particles
3. Deep knowledge of nano- and  micro-particles purification and size fractionation methods, such as differential centrifugation, tangential flow filtration and high gradient magnetic separation.
4. Ability to work both independently and part of a team to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
5. Excellent oral and written communication
6. Proficiency with Microsoft Office application (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
7. Highly organized and detail-oriented.
