Document Control Manager

Job description

The candidates should posse the desire and ability to work in a fast pace exciting environment with high expectations and performance accountability to guarantee the record of success. This individual will manage the electronic change control process of standard operation procedures (SOP), protocols, user manuals, certificate of analysis (CoA), material safety data sheet (MSDS) and reports, assessments, etc.


Responsible for researching, writing technically and grammatically accurate printed and electronic documentation for products and services for local and global customer usage
Review and process change orders for all company and product related procedures, specifications, forms, drawings, bills of materials (BOM), protocols, reports
Assists with creating document templates/content in order to standardize documents across different departments/functional groups
Summarize and report customer activity, Document Control customer services responsibilities, etc.
Participate in, or assume role of lead auditor for select internal or external audits
Complete tasks and/or projects as assigned
Assist with preparation and support of customer requests, audits, regulatory filings and agency visits
Provide cross training, support and guidance to Document Control staff
Support QA Document Control
Review documents for adherence to applicable style guides, instructions for authors, or other considerations
Organize document storage, revision and update


Minimum of a B.S. in a life science discipline
Proven ability to establish collaborative working relationships; team oriented and able to work independently
Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and to adjust workload accordingly and produce tangible results

Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both written and oral, in order to effectively interact with personnel at all levels of the organization
Highly proficient in the use of a wide variety of computer applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Illustrator
